BYSA House League

The 2025 BYSA House season begins on the Monday of Labor Day and ends on the last weekend in October.

Mission:The BYSA House League provides an instructional and fun program while promoting the values of commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Format:

• Weekly practices are run by parent coaches/supported by professional staff

• Parent coaches are essential to the success of this program

• Saturday games

• Teams are created by gender- teams are not coed

Important Note for U5 (2021) - Children in this age group can either play House League or mini kickers; they cannot play both. House league is described below. Mini kickers is less formal, with one session each week on Sundays.

Teams:

Teams are made based on a variety of factors. 

From year to year, players are placed with a variety of peers and coaches to promote social and physical development. Team and coach requests are not honored.

Friend requests are only available for U5-U7 through July. These are requests and are not guaranteed.

Friend requests made in August are very difficult to accommodate.

Coaches:

The success of the program relies on parent coaches. No experience is necessary. BYSA provides initial training and ongoing support and tips throughout the season.

2 parents are needed per team.

All Parent Coaches MUST:

• Complete an online background check (not the same as the school department’s) (5 minutes)

• Complete an online CDC course on concussion awareness and protocols (around an hour) - lasts for 3 years

• Complete an online SafeSport course on abuse prevention (couple of hours)- needs to be done every year

• These online courses are done at home, at your convenience.

Individual teams will not be allowed to practice until their coaches have completed all three training sessions.

We understand the time commitment involved in the preparation and management of the team. We can’t do this program without you, and we thank you in advance for your time.

Uniforms:

For U5 through U8 (YOB 2018-2021) - the uniform consists of royal blue shorts, two shirts with BYSA logo (blue and gold), and gold socks. Please go to the Gob Shop, in Warren, for the shirts, shorts, and socks; be sure to allow time to have the last name added to the shirts. (no #s on jerseys)

Equipment:

Players must have their own equipment

• U5 through U8 (2018-2021) use a size-3 ball, shin guards, sneakers or cleats

• U9 through U12 (2014-2017) use a size-4 ball, shin guards, and cleats

• U13 and U15 (2011-2013) use a size-5 ball, shin guards and cleats

Trained coaches will hold practice each week; parent coaches needed to assist with practices.

Games will be on Saturdays and times will vary between 8am and 1pm.

$120 through 7/31

$145 beginning 8/1

Discount (-$30) for 3rd and subsequent children in House League (discount does not apply for children in multiple programs - all children must be in House League only- they cannot be spread across different programs.)
